We know that understanding what 'free' childcare you are entitled to can be a little confusing because there is a lot of information about free childcare and who's actually entitled to it, as well as what 'free' actually means.

Child Over 3

Everyone is entitled to 15 hours of childcare, regardless of your situation. It doesn't matter if you work full time, part time or a stay-at-home parent. If you are not using it, now is the perfect time to take advantage of this great offer from the government.

Some parents will also be eligible for an extra 15 hours depending on their situation.

Child between 2 and 3

Some families are eligible for 15 hours of free childcare but this depends on your circumstances.

What does 'Free' Mean?
